Common Questions

What are you doing to prevent the spread of COVID 19?

Camper and staff safety is one of our top priorities. Camp size is limited to a maximum of 12 campers, with most camps staying under 8 campers. Campers are expected to wear a mask while at camp unless they're actively eating/drinking or are on a horse. Along with this, we will maintain social distancing protocol as well as sanitizing equipment, washing hands, and checking in with how campers are feeling throughout the day.

Is it okay if my child has never ridden a horse before?

Yes! Our highly educated staff makes sure campers are comfortable and ready before getting on a horse. Instructors will stay with your child until both parties are comfortable with them riding on their own. Of course, there will always be a trained staff member making sure everything is going well and providing instruction.

What should my child bring to camp?

We recommend you send your camper with the following

  • long pants for riding (breeches, yoga pants/leggings, jeans are all acceptable)
  • closed-toed shoes or boots (preferably a shoe with a heel to prevent your feet from slipping from the stirrups)
  • a jacket for the cold mornings
  • closed-toed shoes or boots (preferably a shoe with a heel for riding)
  • a hat
  • a large refillable water bottle
  • sunscreen
  • snacks and lunch
  • a well-fitting mask
  • a good attitude!

Does my camper need to bring lunch?

Yes! Lunch is NOT provided so it is important to pack both a snack and a lunch with your camper. Please make sure to also send your camper with plenty of water and a refillable water bottle.

What forms do I need to have filled out before camp?

Before the first day of camp, you'll need to have filled out a release form for your camper. Along with this, you'll need to fill out a general form with contact information, allergies, etc. This can be done at the barn on the first day when dropping off your child or before.
